  • How is Mendix Basic different from the free plan?

    The free Mendix package lets you explore the capabilities of our Platform and build prototypes or small applications for personal use.

    However, with the Free package, your application will only run for a limited amount of time. It cannot be scaled and has limited operational information available.

    The Basic Mendix package includes all the features of Mendix Free, without the limitations. With the licensed node, you can access all the resources you need to stage and deploy your application to the Mendix Cloud. You can scale your application with our continuous availability and additional resources like custom domains, scheduled events, performance metrics, alerts, and more.

  • Who should use Mendix Basic?

    The Basic package is for users who want to upgrade their application from the Free package environment to a licensed node in a simple and cost-efficient way.

  • What does a "user" mean?

    A user is an individual with access to an application you make; in other words, an end-user.

    We do not charge for anonymous (not signed-in) users accessing your applications. We also do not charge for the developers building applications in the Platform.

  • What is the user limit for Mendix Basic?

    The minimum amount of users is 5. The maximum amount of users is 100.

  • What environments are available?

    Mendix Basic includes the following environments: The develop/deployment environment and the cloud environment on Mendix Cloud.

  • Where is Mendix Basic available?

    Mendix Basic is available worldwide except for the following countries: Bangladesh, Belarus, China, Cuba, Islamic Republic of Iran, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Russian Federation, Syrian Arab Republic and Ukraine.

  • Is Mendix Basic available in China?

    No. At this time, Mendix Basic is not available in China.

  • What happens after my Mendix Basic plan is provisioned?

    After you have received confirmation that your Basic package is provisioned, you will need to migrate your application and the relevant database(s) from the Mendix Free environment to the Mendix Basic environment.

  • How do I receive my invoice?

    The invoice will be sent via mail to the address you provide. Our payment terms are 30 days.

  • What payment options are available?

    Based on your region, there are a wide variety of payment options available to purchase Mendix Basic. Overall, we’re offering the possibility to pay by Credit Card, Giropay, Google Pay, iDeal, Nordea Solo and Paypay.
    Payment on account is at the moment unavailable.

  • What is the billing period?

    The billing period is annual and starts on the day your Basic package is provisioned.
