How active is the Mendix Community?
Mendix has a vibrant community of hundreds of thousands of members and many active contributors across the globe.
In the Mendix Community, community members come together to find the information they need to learn new things, get answers to their questions, inspire each other, and find out about meet ups and training.
Community members have access to blogs to inform them of new features (developer blog, community blog, product releases) as well as having many points of interaction, both digital and physical (Community Feed, Spaces, Community Slack, YouTube, Meetups).
We cater to all levels in our community, such as Mendix MVP program for our more skilled and engaged members and university programs for bringing new members to the Mendix community.
Are there sub-communities (regional or special interest) in the Mendix community?
The Mendix community consists of a multitude of sub-communities that are localized to specific regions or geared towards specific interests, skills, and technologies. We call these sub-communities ‘Spaces’. These spaces allow community members to ask questions, share ideas or exchange with their peers.
Examples of available Spaces
- Regional Spaces: Brazilian, Turkish, Korean, and Polish.
- Specific interest/skill Spaces: UI & Frontend, Accessibility, Mobile, and Security.
- Specific technology Spaces: AWS and Industrial Edge.
Private Spaces
Besides public Spaces, we also bring together multiple organizations within specific verticals together in Private Spaces. These are only accessible by invite and provide a safe environment for collaboration, sharing of best practices, and focused troubleshooting.
An example is the Public Sector and Education Connect, where the first one connects multiple organizations within the public sector while the latter does the same for organizations within the Education segment.
Most Valuable Professional Program
The MVP Program awards the most active and knowledgeable members of the community with a special status. MVPs are the driving force behind the success of the community. They are experts, leaders, and evangelists who dedicate their time and use their knowledge to empower others. They help developers build the best possible solutions for customers by answering questions, publishing videos, organizing events, and more, supporting the growth of the community in size and capability.
The MVP Program brings together experts in different fields, and equips them with the right tools, support, and resources they need to make an even bigger impact on the success of the community.

How can I recognize the roles and skills of Mendix community members and ecosystem partners?
The Mendix Profile is integrated into the community tools and online platform. This means that every member of the Mendix Community has their own profile page which they can use to showcase their projects and skills. It is, however, up to the individual user to make their profile public or to keep it private. Interested to see who has a public profile? Head over to the ‘People’ section of the Mendix Community.
With the goal of gaining different levels, points, and badges, Mendix incentivizes the community to add Marketplace content, answer forum questions, and stay on the top of the Mendix leaderboards.
This gamification system makes it fun to learn, build, and contribute to Mendix while you get rewarded for your achievements.
Companies that are an official Mendix partner also get their own profile page in the community, which is brought together in the Mendix Partner Finder. Through this finder, users can access detailed profiles of different partners, including:
- Areas of specialization
- Customer reviews
- Project portfolios
- Contact information
- Contributions to the community
This tool serves as a valuable resource for those looking to collaborate with experienced professionals who can help them leverage the power of the Mendix platform to build custom applications, streamline business processes, and drive digital innovation.
Where can I find insider tips and blogs on the latest releases?
There are several ways to stay up to date on the latest Mendix developments regarding the platform and products as well as our community.
You can learn about the latest product releases and updates at the product releases webpage. For each release, Mendix publishes a new version of Studio Pro along with release notes, a release blog, and a release video to provide a complete package of information for users, developers, and customers.
We also provide two places to read blogs about Mendix development. The first one is the developer blog on the Mendix website, and the second is the community blog where community members can post their blogs. These are great resources to learn about Mendix development from both the Mendix team and the community itself.
Another great place to get updates and learn more about Mendix development is our Community YouTube channel. It has how-to videos, product release videos, meetup recordings, and more.
For more direct interaction with the community, people can become a member of the Mendix Community Slack. This is a collaborative environment where people can ask questions, chat with other community members, find announcements, provide feedback through surveys and sessions with Mendix product teams, and join specialized and topical channels.
How can I learn about Mendix meetups and events?
Mendix and the community organize hundreds of community events every year. Mendix Meetups are a global phenomenon where low-code professionals get together in person to network, share knowledge, and get inspired to try out new ideas with Mendix. Active in over 25 countries, the meetups are constantly expanding to new countries and regions to provide a way for local community members to connect.
Next to meetups, there are Capture the Flag events, hackathons, and more available through the year. These events are advertised on the Mendix events webpage.
How can I submit a feature request for consideration by Mendix R&D?
We would like to invite you to an important channel where you can provide feature requests to Mendix: the Mendix Community. Any customer can post a feature request that can be reviewed, expanded on, and voted on by other members of the Mendix community. Based on this feedback, every quarter we will determine which features have the most value according to our customers, and we will implement them.
