Mendix Artificial Intelligence Assistance (Maia)
This document outlines the data storage policies and practices for Maia (hereafter referred to as “Maia”). As a user-focused chat application, Maia is committed to maintaining a secure and responsible environment for data management
1. Data Usage
Maia does not utilize any customer-specific, or company-specific information in its operations. Maia will use entered information/data and customer project specific context to only fulfill the users request. The application functions solely on the basis of data explicitly entered by users into the Maia interface. To uphold data privacy and security, users are strongly advised against the submission of any personal, sensitive, or confidential data within the chat environment.

2. Data Storage Location
Data entered into Maia is stored securely within the European Union, specifically in the ‘eu-west-1’ region hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Ireland. The choice of this location complies with regional data protection regulations and ensures that data residency requirements are met for EU-based users.
3. Test Environment
Maia maintains a separate test environment that is located in London. This environment is used exclusively for development and testing purposes. It is important to note that while this environment is separate from the production environment hosted in Ireland, the same stringent data management and security practices are applied.
4. Data Security
Maia implements industry-standard security measures to protect the integrity and confidentiality of the data stored within its systems.
5. User Responsibility
Users are responsible for the data they choose to input into Maia. It is the user’s obligation to ensure that they do not input personal, sensitive, or confidential information into the chat system. Maia cannot be held liable for the data input by users against this advice.
