- Does the 30-minute cloud setup include starting from scratch?
Yes. Our managed application in Azure does all the configurations needed for you to deploy applications in your private subscription.
- Can Mendix applications be hosted in our Azure account?
Yes. It will be hosted in your subscription.
- Do we license the other resources (Grafana, Prometheus, etc.) from Mendix or through Azure?
All Azure resources deployed as part of Mendix on Azure are procured as managed services, which are automatically licensed through Azure.
- Can we choose to use Azure SQL instead?
No. This flexibility is not in the scope of the current Limited Availability product.
- What does Limited Availability mean?
Limited Availability means the product has been tested and is ready for production-grade applications. To ensure the highest quality, we launch products for a limited set of customers before it’s made available to the general public.
- Do you have more details on the responsibilities of updates and the systems?
Mendix will ensure all components in the solution will remain up-to-date but we rely on underlying managed services delivered by Microsoft to do so. Please refer to the product documentation for more details.
- I’m already a Mendix customer and currently deploy apps on Azure through Mendix for Private Cloud. Does this product still have value for me?
Although the value of automating the initial setup of Mendix-hosting on Azure might be irrelevant to you, Mendix on Azure will still deliver tremendous value by unburdening your teams from the ongoing maintenance of such a hosting solution, while keeping it compliant with all relevant best-practices.
