Mendix and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
About the Alliance
Mendix, a Siemens Business, formed a strategic alliance with AWS in 2022 as part of the Siemens Strategic Collaboration agreement (SCA). This alliance aims to make Mendix the fastest and easiest way to develop applications on AWS through joint product development, simplified commercial models, and strategic alignment across the two organizations.
Deployment
You can deploy Mendix apps on AWS in different ways on the Mendix Public Cloud or Mendix for Private Cloud. For more information, see What Deployment Options Does Mendix Provide?
For Mendix for Private Cloud, we provide an official AWS Reference Deployment for Mendix on Amazon EKS. This completely automates the setup of Mendix in the customer’s own AWS environment in about 30 minutes. For more information, see Mendix on Amazon EKS.

Connectors and Enablement
AWS has over 250 products, called AWS Services, that you can integrate into your Mendix apps to make them more powerful and intelligent. We’re working with AWS and our developer community to provide a rich set of AWS-Mendix connectors and make that integration simple and secure. To further accelerate development on AWS, Mendix has developed many industry templates utilizing AWS connectors, along with documentation, learning paths, and use cases.
We also enable Mendix and AWS developers to use these connectors and build their own if needed. For Mendix developers, we provide a course about AWS connectors, and for AWS developers, AWS has launched a self-paced AWS Workshop on Mendix.
GenAI
For leveraging GenAI in applications, Mendix provides the Mendix Connector for Amazon Bedrock. This turns the integration of GenAI into a low-code, drag-and-drop developer experience. Multiple foundational models, knowledge bases, and agents are supported. Plus, there is hands-on enablement content for AWS builders and Mendix developers.
AWS Marketplace
For a simpler procurement and billing process, AWS customers can request Mendix via a private offer on the AWS Marketplace and credit purchases against their AWS spend commitments. From a legal perspective, your contract is with Mendix, but from a financial perspective, Mendix will be included in your AWS bill.
